About this care
Welcome to KDV Kiekeboe, a warm and homely daycare centre located at Prijsseweg 45 in Culemborg. We provide small-scale, professional childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years in two vertical groups of up to 15 children each. Our qualified pedagogical staff offer personal attention every day in a familiar environment where every child feels safe and at home.
Our location features a large, enclosed outdoor playground where children can play and explore freely. We believe in the strength of small-scale care: this allows us to maintain high quality and keep our approach personal and involved. Every child is unique and is given the space to grow and develop at their own pace.
Kiekeboe is open five days a week from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with the possibility of early drop-off from 7:00 AM by arrangement. We are part of Dichtbij Kinderopvang and meet all legal quality requirements. Before starting, parents and children are invited for an intake and a settling-in morning to ensure a smooth transition.

Summary
GGD Gelderland-Zuid conducted an incidental inspection at KDV Kiekeboe in Culemborg on 7 May 2026 following a request to expand from 88 to 90 childcare places. The two baby groups (Parels and Sterren) would grow from 12 to 13 children per group. The inspection assessed changes, pedagogical policy, stability of care provision, safety and health policy, and accommodation. All subjects examined meet the legal requirements. The indoor and outdoor spaces are sufficiently large and safe for 90 children. The provider reported the change in a timely manner. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The GGD advises the municipality of Culemborg to grant the request.
