About this care
Located in the Molenbrug neighborhood of Veenendaal, KC Prinses Amalia is a child center offering space for every child from 2 to 12 years old. With a playfully designed large outdoor area, there is plenty of room to play and learn, but also to relax.
For toddler care, we use the VVE program Piramide. With themes that connect to school and what toddlers find interesting, we work on their social skills, language and math development, and motor skills.
Toddlers are welcome in the toddler groups from age 2:
**Regular toddlers**
- from 2 years old
- 2 fixed half-days per week (Mon/Tue or Wed/Thu)
- always one morning and one afternoon

**Toddlers with VVE indication**
- from 2.5 years old

Summary
KC Prinses Amalia in Veenendaal provides early childhood education to a maximum of 32 toddlers aged 2–4 years. The inspection on 10 February 2025 assessed the pedagogical climate, staff, accommodation, and safety. The location largely meets the quality requirements: the pedagogical policy is clear, the accredited Piramide programme is well implemented, the premises are spacious and safe, and the staff are knowledgeable and stable. There was one violation: hygiene during nappy changing was inadequate; used nappies were left on the floor and hands were not always washed. Following a recovery offer, the location took immediate measures and brought the rules to staff attention again. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality not to pursue enforcement.
