About this care
At IKC Cadans, we offer a unique approach to childcare and education. We believe in an integrated approach that puts the development of each child at the center. Our facility is open to children from their first year of life up to twelve years old. We do not distinguish between primary school, daycare, and after-school care (BSO), which means we fully focus on the needs and developmental possibilities of each child.
Our philosophy is aimed at promoting self-confidence, adaptability, and resilience. We offer various methods that help children excel, discover their talents, and seize their opportunities. All of this prepares them for the challenges of the future. Parents have the freedom to decide for themselves when to go on holiday with their children, so that children can enjoy their time at home without a care.
At IKC Cadans, we provide healthy and nutritious meals, and we offer a wide range of activities, including structured learning, music and movement, and arts and crafts. Our outdoor space is ideal for outdoor activities, and we have created a safe and stimulating environment where children can develop. Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) IKC Cadans Berkel provides daycare for 32 children (ages 0-4) in a temporary building in Berkel en Rodenrijs. The inspection on 25 February 2025 shows that the location meets most quality requirements: the pedagogical practice is good, staffing is sufficient and qualified, and parents are well informed. There were two violations: the safety and health policy was incomplete (missing working CO2 meters and first aid qualifications) and staff had insufficient knowledge of reporting, consultation and notification obligations. Both violations were resolved through a recovery offer within the set deadline. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) therefore advises the municipality of Lansingerland not to pursue enforcement.
