About this care
Welcome to KDV Hoera Koningslust, Avonturier! We are located at Rect. Isidorusstraat 5 in Koningslust and are part of Stichting Hoera Kindercentra. Since November 16, 2020, we provide care for up to 8 children aged 2 to 4 years. Our toddler group is situated within primary school De Avonturier and uses a dedicated play area separated from the classroom by a wooden playhouse with an upper level. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings and operate with a horizontal group structure, where all children in the same age range play and learn together.
Our vision is clear: “Every child a star!” We believe every child is unique and deserves to shine in their own way. That’s why we offer pre-school education (VVE), focusing on language, numeracy, motor skills, and social-emotional development. We read stories aloud, ask questions, and invite children to re-enact tales in our themed play corner. This approach fosters curiosity, language skills, and creative expression. Our pedagogical policy is concrete and measurable, supported by an annual training plan to maintain the expertise of our pre-school education staff.
Safety and emotional security are our top priorities. We create an environment where children feel emotionally safe and are playfully encouraged to develop their motor, cognitive, and social skills. We actively involve parents in their child’s development and offer a warm, familiar place where children can grow toward independence.Read more

Summary
The annual Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection of 9 March 2026 reveals a complex picture at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Hoera Koningslust, Avonturier. The pedagogical practice is assessed positively: staff provide emotional safety, work with the Uk & Puk method, and align activities well with toddler development. The outdoor area has been recently renovated and cooperation with the primary school runs smoothly. Nevertheless, the location does not meet all legal requirements. The structural merging of toddlers and early primary pupils in one group space leads to violations on group size (factually more than 16 children present) and stable group formation. This issue has existed since 2020 and was also identified in previous inspections. The municipality of Peel en Maas maintains a tolerance policy for this integral cooperation. No recovery offer (herstelaanbod) applies; the violations persist due to structural cooperation agreements.
