About this care
Welcome to the daycare centre of Het Tuinhuis at Oud-Bodegraafseweg 87a in Bodegraven. Our site is tucked away just outside the village, surrounded by meadows and next to a working farm. With our own small animal paddock and vegetable garden, we offer children from 0 to 4 years a safe, green home-from-home where play and discovery are at the heart of every day.
We believe children learn about the world best through play. In our spacious outdoor area the very youngest can pet animals, sow seeds, harvest fruit and run free in the fresh air. The neighbouring farm completes the picture: cows grazing, chickens scratching and the rhythm of the seasons felt in everything we do. Our team of dedicated professionals guide the children with warm attention and Christian values, giving every child space to be themselves and grow in confidence.
The daycare is housed in a cosy, light-filled building whose group rooms look out onto the garden. We use horizontal groups, so babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers each receive care and stimulation suited to their stage of development. Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) het Tuinhuis Bodegraven B.V. (90 places, 7 core groups) received its annual unannounced LRK supervision on 25 February 2025. The pedagogical climate scores fully satisfactory: policy is current, staff are competent, children experience emotional safety and are playfully challenged in motor, social and cognitive development. For Safety & health, one shortcoming applied: a toddler was inadvertently left alone in an empty after-school care (BSO) room during a joint physical activity. The location received a recovery offer, submitted a tightened count and communication protocol within one week, and now complies with the requirement again. Irreparable remains the violation under Personnel & groups: to save the staff-child ratio (BKR), a 1-year-old was moved from their fixed core group 'Hooizolder' to the baby-toddler group 'Hoeve'. This is only permitted in acute emergency situations with written parental consent; both were absent. The child exhibited extensive crying behaviour and insecurity. This breach of the stability norm has not been rectified.

Ontzettend fijne opvang plaats, mijn beide meiden gaan hier met veel plezier naartoe en de leidsters zijn enorm lief en betrokken.
Ze discrimineren over hoofddoek, zeggen dat het niet mag volgens het beleid maar in het beleid staat er niks over. Mailtje over gestuurd maar ook geen...
Mijn zoontje is pas 1x geweest maar we zijn nu al weg van de sfeer, de natuur, persoonlijke aandacht en goede service.
Wat mij betreft zou elke kdv zo moeten zijn.
