About this care
Welcome to Partou Het Sprookjesbos! Our daycare centre is located at Acaciasingel 77 in ’s-Hertogenbosch. Together with primary school Het Rondeel we form part of the Brede Bossche School Aan de Aa, allowing your child to move seamlessly to primary school and after-school care at the age of four.
Everything we do revolves around creating a warm bath: a safe place where both children and parents feel at home from day one. Our pedagogical professionals provide an environment in which every child feels safe and seen. We work from six building blocks that let children grow playfully and gain new experiences every day, developing resilience and self-confidence for the future.
A typical day at Het Sprookjesbos is varied and child-centred. We start calmly: mum or dad shares how the weekend went. Next we read a picture book together, put on our coats for fresh air outside, and enjoy a bottle or a warm meal. After a well-earned nap we make full use of our garden: running, cycling and discovering what nature has to offer. We round off the day with singing and making music with drums and bells – a favourite with young and old alike.
Our groups are horizontally structured: separate baby and toddler groups so we can follow and stimulate each child’s development optimally. We also offer the VVE programme ‘Uk en Puk’, introducing language, numeracy and social skills in a playful way. Parents receive photos and messages throughout the day via our own app, so you always know how your child is doing.

- The indoor play area of core group Happy measures 2.9 m² per child, while a minimum of 3.5 m² is mandatory (46.5 m² for 16 children). The central corridor of the primary school that is partially used is a traffic area and escape route and does not count as usable floor space.
Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection report of 19 May 2026 for daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Het Sprookjesbos in 's-Hertogenbosch presents a predominantly positive picture. The pedagogical climate and staff and groups meet all quality requirements. The pedagogical practice is assessed as good quality, with sensitive and responsive contact between staff members and children. The early childhood education in core group Happy is well organized according to the Startblokken method. However, one violation was identified: the indoor play area of core group Happy is too small (2.9 m² per child instead of the mandatory 3.5 m²) for the care of 16 children. The operator acknowledges this and has submitted a recovery plan to reduce the number of children to 13 as of 1 November 2026. No recovery offer was made because a structural solution within four weeks was not feasible. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipal executive to take enforcement action.
