Summary

Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) het Kasteel in Lekkerkerk, part of Royal Kids Home Krimpenerwaard, was subject to an unannounced annual inspection on 29 January 2026. The location provides care for 16 children aged 2-4 years and is housed in a primary school. The inspection assessed the pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health. All areas meet the statutory requirements. Early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VE) is provided using the Uk and Puk program, through which children with a VE indication can receive the required 960 hours. The three permanent staff members hold the correct diplomas, language proficiency level 3F, and VE certificates. No violations or areas for improvement were identified.
