Violations

• Children were cared for in a different core group than their own core group: four children from core group Eigenrijk were placed in the Ontdekjerijk and Wijsjesrijk groups on 9 June 2026 from approximately 09:00 to 12:00. This qualifies as care in a different core group and not as temporarily leaving the core group for an activity. This constitutes non-compliance with Article 1.50(1) and (2) of the Childcare Act and Article 9(1), (2), (7), (8), (9) and (10) of the Childcare Quality Decree.

Summary

Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Eigenwijsjerijk in Winterswijk was inspected by GGD Noord- en Oost-Gelderland on 9 June 2026. The childcare for 56 children (0-4 years) largely complies with legislation and regulations, but one violation was identified in the domain of stability of care. Four children from core group Eigenrijk were temporarily placed (09:00-12:00) in other groups due to staff illness. The provider considered this as temporarily leaving the core group for an activity, but the inspector classified this as care in a different core group, which is not permitted. The staff-to-child ratio was maintained. The provider submitted an extensive response emphasising the child's interests and pedagogical considerations, but the violation remains upheld.
