About this care
KDV De Pompoen is a small-scale daycare centre for children aged 0 to 4, located on Fort Isabella at Hoornwerk 2 in Vught. We provide care in two horizontal groups: De Korenbloem and De Goudsbloem. Each group has its own spacious, homelike indoor area furnished with sustainable toys made from natural materials. Children can play in various corners and look outside through windows positioned at toddler height. Our outdoor area is generous and offers plenty of opportunity to play with sand and water.
A fixed part of our daily programme is taking the children outside for a walk through the forest and across the grounds of Fort Isabella. In addition, the children are allowed to help care for our chickens and our rabbit. In this playful way they learn respect for animals and nature.
