About this care
Welcome to KDV De Klimtoren in Drempt, located at Kerkstraat 87. We are part of Kinderopvang Spelenderwijs and offer daycare for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our childcare center is housed in the same school building as primary school De Klimtoren, allowing us to provide a seamless continuous learning line.
The name De Klimtoren (The Climbing Tower) symbolizes our vision: a climbing tower has a solid foundation, which is what we aim to give children. Through play and learning, children 'climb' the tower, always reaching higher, learning with and from each other. As they climb, they broaden their view of the world.
Our pedagogical staff work with great attention and care. The KDV group is a vertical group of up to 12 children aged 0 to 4 years, with a maximum of 3 babies under age 1. We offer preschool education (VVE) using the Startblokken method, stimulating development in language, math, motor skills, and social-emotional areas.

Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Klimtoren in Drempt (27 places, ages 0–4) received an unannounced visit on 1 April 2025. The daycare center meets legal requirements on almost all points, but one violation was found: the substitute staff member in the toddler group with early childhood education (VE) does not hold the mandatory VE certificate. The organisation has committed that the permanent, certified pedagogical staff member will return after the May holiday. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) therefore advises the municipality of Bronckhorst to enforce this point. Furthermore, the pedagogical approach, staffing levels, safety, parent communication, and complaints handling are in order.
