Welcome to De Beun Kinderopvang, the daycare centre in the heart of Houten where children aged 0 to 4 find a safe and loving home-from-home. In our recently renovated building at Achterom 64, your child’s well-being and development come first. We provide daycare for up to 56 children, divided into four horizontal groups: one baby group (0-2 years) and three toddler groups (2-4 years). Small group sizes and personal attention are central to our approach, giving every child the space to grow at his or her own pace. Our close-knit team of dedicated childcare professionals follows the Gordon Method. By approaching children positively, praising their efforts and encouraging them to solve problems themselves, we build self-confidence and resilience. Each year our staff attend refresher courses and coaching in this method, ensuring that our guidance remains up-to-date and professional. Health and nutrition are key pillars of our daycare. We follow a healthy-food policy and serve a freshly prepared hot meal every day, using seasonal produce. Outdoor play is part of the daily routine: our own garden offers plenty of room to run, climb and explore. We also make regular trips to local playgrounds, the petting farm or to feed the ducks – always with your written consent. Safety is paramount. We carry out an annual risk assessment, have a fire-detection system in place and always have a qualified first-aider on site. The Municipal Health Service inspects our location every year, so you can entrust your child to us with complete peace of mind. Flexibility matters to us: we offer flexible contracts and half-day care is possible. Our central location – just a five-minute walk from Houten station – makes us easy to reach.
