GGD Drenthe conducted an unannounced inspection of the daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) location Hof van Saksen of KDV Bij Ot&Sien on 23 July 2025. The childcare accommodates a maximum of 8 children aged 0-4 and is intended for parents working at the holiday park. The pedagogical climate scores well: the policy is up to date, staff know and apply the plan, children experience emotional safety, and interaction is sensitive and responsive. The space is arranged in an age-appropriate manner and children are given room to make their own choices. All staff and the pedagogical policy worker meet the training requirements, and the mandatory coaching hours are secured. However, there is one violation: a new staff member started on 1 June 2025 without a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG) being present at that time, and was only linked to the Childcare Personnel Register on 2 June 2025; another staff member is completely absent from the register. As a result, the legally required sequence (first VOG and registration, then starting) was not followed. The municipality of Aa en Hunze is advised to enforce in accordance with the enforcement policy.
