About this care
Welcome to KDV de Bosbengels, part of Kindcentrum de Bosvaert located at Burgemeester van Besouwlaan 2 in Kaatsheuvel. We provide care for up to 16 children from 6 weeks to 4 years of age in one small-scale, easy-to-survey daycare group. Our centre sits on the edge of the village, right next to primary school de Vaert and only a stone’s throw from the Loonse and Drunense Dunes nature reserve and the Efteling theme park. We regularly use this wooded area as an extension of our group: when the weather is nice we head outside to explore, run and play in nature.
We work exclusively with qualified pedagogical staff who have completed at least an MBO-level education in childcare. Every group has at least one colleague with a valid first-aid certificate and there is always someone on site with an emergency-response diploma. We believe in providing a warm, safe base, yet we also want to challenge children to grow. Therefore we offer Early Childhood Education (VVE) to all toddlers aged 2.5 to 4 years. Through play we work on language, numeracy and social skills so that the transition to primary school will be smooth.
Our large outdoor area invites children to cycle, climb and enjoy sand play. Inside there is a separate sleeping room with safe cots for the very youngest. We keep the groups small and manageable so that every child receives the attention they deserve. During pick-up and drop-off moments there is time for a chat with parents; we find brief, personal handovers essential for your child’s well-being. - Staff act in accordance with the pedagogical policy plan and receive coaching

- Change in number of childcare places not promptly processed in the National Childcare Register (Landelijk Register Kinderopvang): the location cared for more children than registered (46 vs. 32) without submitting a prior change request to the municipality
- Violation of staff-child ratio during atypical deployment: based on schedules, it appeared that during breaks fewer than half of the required number of staff were deployed (multiple staff took breaks simultaneously)
