About this care
Welcome to BSO Zevenhoeven, located in Kindcentrum Zevenhoeven at Maerelaan 248a in Heemskerk. We provide after-school care for 60 children aged 4 to 12 years in two cozy group spaces with various play areas. Our location is unique as we can use the school playground for outdoor activities and regularly explore the nearby green areas. Weekly, we visit gymnasium de Velst for sports activities.
For our older children from 8 years and up, we have a special BSO 8+ group. This group is more focused on the needs of older children with an emphasis on sports and games. We understand that older children have different interests and adapt our offerings accordingly.
Our care hours are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 14:15 to 18:30. On Wednesday we provide care from 12:00 to 18:30 at the Kameleon location at Lauraplein 1 in Heemskerk. For before-school care we collaborate with the Kameleon location.

The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 8 April 2025 focused on safety and health. All assessed quality requirements (pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health) are met. The pedagogical policy is concrete and implemented; staff are registered in the persons register and hold a Certificate of Conduct (VOG). The safety and health policy is up-to-date, risks have been mapped, and measures have been taken including against mosquito nuisance. No violations were found. The municipality is advised not to take enforcement action.
