Subsidy & costs
We help parents with the application for childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag), a government contribution towards childcare costs. The amount of the benefit depends on your income and that of your benefit partner. We recommend stating your income slightly higher when applying to prevent repayment. Changes in your family situation, income, or care must be reported directly to the Tax Authorities and to us. The costs for childminder care (gastouderopvang) consist of two components: the childminder (gastouder) hourly rate and the bureau costs. The childminder's (gastouder) hourly rate varies from €8.00 to €15.00 per hour per child, depending on the care type. The bureau costs are €0.50 per care hour with a minimum of €50 per month per child. The Tax Authorities reimburse the bureau costs fully or partially, depending on the hourly rate. For 2026, the total hourly rate (including bureau costs) varies between €8.50 and €9.50 per hour, depending on the number of hours used per month. We work with fixed contracts based on 48 weeks per year and calculate the average number of hours per month for school-age children.
Trust & screening
All childminders (gastouders) at Juventa undergo thorough screening according to legal requirements. This includes a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) for the childminder (gastouder) and all adult household members. Childminders (gastouders) must hold relevant diplomas and are registered in the Childcare Personnel Register for continuous screening. We conduct annual progress discussions with childminders (gastouders) and unannounced risk assessments (RIE) at care locations. Additionally, we offer ongoing education and training to childminders (gastouders) to support their professional development.
Gastouderbureau Juventa complies with all legal requirements of the Childcare Act (Wet kinderopvang) and is supervised by the Municipal Health Service (GGD). We are registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK number: 345085188) and with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK: 32133239). Annual GGD inspections are carried out to guarantee quality in the areas of safety, health, pedagogical quality, and parent participation. The inspection reports are publicly available via the National Childcare Register. Additionally, we are affiliated with the Disputes Committee for formal complaint handling.
