Welcome to It Roekeltsje KDV, located in the heart of Warten at Schoolstraat 2. Our small-scale daycare center provides a homely and safe environment for children from 10 weeks to 4 years old. We believe in the power of familiar faces and small groups, ensuring each child receives the personal attention they deserve.
Our location is housed in a charming former school building with a spacious natural garden. This green play environment invites exploration, gardening and outdoor play. We believe it's important for children to connect with nature from an early age and learn to discover their surroundings through play.
As a bilingual daycare, we follow the 'one caregiver, one language' principle. This means your child will hear and learn to understand both Dutch and Frisian. Our permanent pedagogical staff create a warm and familiar atmosphere where your child can develop optimally.
We offer flexible childcare options, tailored to your family's needs. Our opening hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. For babies and young children, we have special sleeping areas and all facilities for bottle feeding and care available.

Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) annual inspection on 22 April 2026 at daycare center It Roekeltsje in Warten shows a mixed picture. The location provides daycare, toddler care, and after-school care (BSO) to 28 children. The pedagogical climate and early childhood education meet requirements well, with sensitive guidance and use of the recognized Uk and Puk program. The latter violation has been resolved through a recovery offer; the PRK registration was completed immediately upon discovery.
