Welcome to the toddler care of IKC Het Anker, located at Kruidenpad 4 in Vlaardingen. We provide care and development for children aged 2 to 4 in a safe, homely environment. Our team of qualified pedagogical staff guide your child with love and attention, allowing them to develop at their own pace. We follow a clear daily routine focused on play, discovery and learning. Our activities are tailored to your child’s age and developmental stage, stimulating language, motor and social skills. We use the Uk & Puk development programme to work on pre-school education in a playful way. The toddler care is open Monday to Friday from 08:45 – 12:00 and 12:30 – 15:45 during school weeks. We are closed during school holidays and on national public holidays. Your child is in trusted hands with us and we ensure a warm transition between home and care.

Summary

IKC Het Anker toddler care (peuteropvang) in Vlaardingen provides early childhood education to 16 children aged 2–4. The inspection on 11 April 2025 shows that the location meets almost all quality requirements: the pedagogical practice is warm and development-oriented, the safety and health policy is current and followed, and all staff hold the correct diplomas and Certificate of Conduct (VOG). There was one area for improvement: the pedagogical policy lacked a concrete description of how children settle into a new core group (stamgroep). Following a recovery offer (herstelaanbod), the organisation supplemented this in time, thereby now meeting the requirement. No violations were identified. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality not to take enforcement action.
