About this care
Welcome to KDV De Appelhof, the daycare centre within IKC De Appelhof at Postelkamp 2 in Druten. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 in small, horizontal groups: babies, toddlers and preschoolers each have their own space to play and grow with peers. Our team of professional pedagogical staff is ready every weekday from 07:00 to 18:30, offering emotional security, involvement and warmth.
Development through play is our guiding principle. In the creative studio children can freely paint, model clay and craft with natural materials. Daily music and dance sessions stimulate language and motor skills, while regular visits to our garden let them discover flowers, herbs and insects first-hand.
Rest and routine matter. Each group has a separate sleep room where children can nap in individual beds according to their personal rhythm. Diapers, wipes and care products are included, as are a healthy breakfast, warm lunch and nutritious snacks. Allergies or special diets are happily accommodated.

Summary
Daycare center De Appelhof in Druten (KION B.V.) received an unannounced annual inspection visit on 6 February 2025. The location provides early education (VE) to 32 children in two core groups (Rupsen and Vlinders) and operates as part of an Integral Child Center in partnership with primary school De Appelhof. All assessed quality requirements have been met: the pedagogical policy is correctly implemented, the early education structure complies with all hour and ratio standards, staff are qualified and registered in the PRK, and the accommodation is spacious, safe, and appropriately furnished. No violations were identified. The mentor administration was briefly not up-to-date, but this was promised to be resolved on-site. The municipal executive is advised not to initiate enforcement action.
