Summary

GGD Twente conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 26 February 2026 at after-school care (BSO) IKC Bentelwijz/Wonderwijz in Bentelo. The after-school care accommodates up to 44 children aged 4 to 13 years and is part of an integrated child center (IKC) with the primary school. The location meets all assessed legal requirements in the areas of pedagogical climate, staff and groups, accommodation, and parental rights. The pedagogical climate is rated as good: staff know the children personally, communicate respectfully, and create an emotionally safe environment. Children receive sufficient challenge and autonomy. However, a situation report was included under safety and health: the technology room was insufficiently clean, with dirt on the floor, tables, and kitchen unit. The provider was aware of this and indicated they would take steps with the school, which is responsible for cleaning. No recovery offer (herstelaanbod) was made because the conditions are deemed met, but the situation will be reassessed at the next inspection.
