About this care
Welcome to IJdoorn, our daycare centre located at Alkmaarstraat 14 in Amsterdam. We provide care for 48 children aged 0 to 4 in a homely and safe environment. Our dedicated team is ready every day to offer the youngest children a warm and familiar place, so parents can work or study with peace of mind.
We believe it is important that children can develop at their own pace. That is why we work with familiar faces and small groups, ensuring that every child receives the attention they deserve. Our spaces are designed for playing, sleeping and discovering, tailored to the age and developmental stage of your child.

Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) IJdoorn of TintelTuin in Amsterdam was inspected by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) on 14 November 2025. The annual inspection showed a positive picture: all inspected quality requirements are met. The location provides early childhood education to two groups of up to 16 toddlers (ages 2–4), 4 mornings per week. The pedagogical climate is experienced as warm and safe, with attention to language development, social skills, and learning through play. Staff members are well-trained, with early childhood education (VVE) certificates and appropriate language proficiency levels. The partnership with De IJdoornschool primary school is running smoothly, including a combined position. The early childhood education coach is deployed sufficiently.
