About this care
HOPPAS Andel Gezetstraat is situated in a quiet spot in the centre of Andel, just a stone’s throw from primary school De Zaaier. We provide care in a vertical day-care group for children from 0 to 4 years old. Brothers and sisters can stay together, and the youngest children benefit from the natural guidance and inspiration of the older toddlers.
Care and love are our top priorities. We create a homely atmosphere in which every child feels safe and seen. Our pedagogical staff work with small groups of up to 16 children, allowing for personal attention and tailor-made care. Children can sleep both indoors and outdoors in specially designed beds; we value outdoor naps as a calming experience that combines rest with fresh air.
Through close cooperation with the toddler group (2-4 years) on the same premises, the children enjoy playful contact with peers from an early age. This connection stimulates language, social skills and the discovery of new possibilities. We believe children learn about the world best by playing, exploring and being together. Parents experience our approach as familiar and involved; we love to hear what matters to you in the care of your child.

Summary
GGD West-Brabant conducted an unannounced follow-up investigation on 27 October 2025 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) HOPPAS Andel Gezetstraat (16 places, ages 0–4), following a violation identified during the annual inspection of 29 April 2025. At that time, the outdoor play equipment was damaged and had not been taken out of use, the two sleeping rooms lacked a CO₂ meter and clear ventilation instructions, and staff did not know at what temperatures they needed to take action. During the follow-up investigation, the inspector found that the equipment has since been replaced, a digital CO₂ meter (with humidity measurement) has been purchased, staff have been instructed on ventilation, and the 'Hygiene' protocol now contains measures for high CO₂ levels. Measurements in the bedrooms (21–28 October) were satisfactory. The location now once again meets the statutory requirements for safety and health. The municipality of Altena is advised not to apply enforcement.
