Kinderdagverblijf Hojpiepeloj has been the trusted address for childcare in Breda since 1990. We are located at St. Ignatiusstraat 11, opposite the Florijn College. Hojpiepeloj is a small-scale childcare facility with 17 places, allowing us to provide personal attention to each child.
Our daycare radiates a homely and safe atmosphere. We maintain an open door policy – parents are always welcome to drop by, though we do ask to call ahead. We care for children from 0 to 4 years in a warm, familiar environment where every child quickly feels at home.
The Hojpiepeloj team consists of experienced and dedicated childcare professionals who care for your child with love and attention. By maintaining a good balance between experience and eagerness to learn, we create a pleasant dynamic within our team.

Summary
The unannounced annual inspection visit on 8 July 2025 to daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Hojpiepeloj Kinderopvang at St. Ignatiusstraat 11 in Breda shows that the location fully meets the statutory requirements on three of the four main themes. The pedagogical climate, staffing and group matters, and accommodation score positively: the pedagogical policy is up to date, all staff members hold the correct diplomas, VOGs and language proficiency certificates, and the premises are safe, more than sufficiently spacious (approximately 85 m² indoors, over 80 m² outdoors) and appropriately furnished. Under the theme of 'Safety and health', however, multiple physical risks were found: a loose radiator guard, protruding nail, peeling paint, missing radiator rubber, loose cable, faulty window mechanism and two insufficiently secured wall shelves. These situations were not in line with the location's own policy, which prescribes immediate action. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) therefore issued a recovery offer with a deadline of 15 August 2025. Photographs from 13 August and a follow-up visit on 15 August show that all deficiencies have since been resolved. The violation has been remedied, so the municipality of Breda is advised not to take enforcement action.
