About this care
Welcome to Het Schoenertje, our daycare center located at Schoenerstraat 11 in Amsterdam. We provide care for up to 51 children aged 0 to 4 years. As part of TintelTuin B.V., we create a warm and safe environment where children can play, grow and develop.
Our location has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since March 19, 2018 under number 384887491. This means parents can apply for childcare allowance for care at our facility. We meet all national quality requirements and are supervised by the GGD Amsterdam.
We offer preschool education (VE) with special attention to language development, motor skills, social relationships and creativity. This provides excellent preparation for primary school. Our pedagogical staff guide children in small, horizontal groups, working with a fixed team that gets to know the children well.
Care is available for full days only - we do not offer hourly or partial day care. This ensures sufficient pedagogical staff per group and keeps rates affordable for parents. We recommend registering early due to waiting lists, preferably from 12 weeks of pregnancy.

Summary
GGD inspection on 17 July 2025 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Het Schoenertje (51 places, Amsterdam) finds that the location generally provides responsible childcare: the pedagogical climate is good, the ECE programme Startblokken is being implemented, children experience emotional safety, and staff work in a development-focused manner. However, three violations were identified. Due to the absence of two permanent staff members and holiday leave, insufficiently qualified ECE personnel were present on 15 and 17 July (the 1:8 ratio was not met); three children were placed in a second core group on 14 July; and one employee was not registered in the PRK in a timely manner. The licence holder submitted a recovery offer for the PRK violation and took immediate action (checklist + double check), so this violation has been closed. The capacity and core group violations are considered an emergency situation in which responsible choices were made. The municipal executive is advised not to impose enforcement measures. Four children attend fewer than 10 hours of ECE per week; the municipality is requested to address this in the subsidy relationship.
