About this care
Child Centre Het Kinderpaleis is located in the multifunctional centre de Coligny at Louise de Colignylaan 59 in Katwijk. We provide full-day care for children from 0 to 4 years old. We work with two horizontal groups: a baby group for children aged 0-2 years and a combination group for children aged 2-4 years. Our location is open from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
What makes our location unique is the covered outdoor playground, allowing children to enjoy outdoor play every day of the year. Additionally, we offer the possibility for children to sleep outdoors in special outdoor beds that are visible from the group room. Het Kinderpaleis in Katwijk was inspected on 20 July 2026 by GGD Hollands Midden (Municipal Health Service). The daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV), part of Stichting KOK Kinderopvang, accommodates up to 26 children (ages 0-4) in a baby group and toddler group. The inspection concerned an unannounced annual investigation in which pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health were assessed. All components meet the statutory quality requirements. The pedagogical practice shows positive interactions between staff and children, with attention to emotional safety and development. Early childhood education is provided through the Peuterpraat program. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The license holder agrees with the content of this report.
