About this care
Daycare Henhaan is located at Kerkhofstraat 18 in the heart of Maren-Kessel. Our daycare facility provides care for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 years. We have been registered in the National Childcare Register since September 1, 2010, and work with a professional team that cares for the development of young children in a safe and familiar environment.
Our location in Maren-Kessel is equipped with all modern facilities necessary for the daily care of babies and toddlers. We offer pre-school education (VE) and value parent participation highly. Our pedagogical policy focuses on the individual development of each child, where we stimulate learning through play.

Summary
During the annual Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection on 4 September 2025 at after-school care (BSO) Henhaan in Maren-Kessel, it was found that the location meets the requirements for pedagogical climate and parental rights. There were shortcomings in the areas of staff and groups (stability of care) and safety and health (safety risk in practice and policy accessibility). These violations have since been resolved through a recovery offer. A violation regarding the care of children in a single core group without structural merging has not been resolved, as the operator was not given a recovery offer for this. The GGD advises the municipality to enforce, taking into account the specific situation of the small-scale childcare provision.
