About this care
Welcome to BSO Floriande, the newest and most beautiful after-school care facility in Floriande! We are located at Bennebroekerweg 802 in Hoofddorp, perfectly situated along the main access road with ample parking facilities. Here, the vision of the sports center and HappyKids come together in a sporty concept.
Every day is focused on movement and healthy nutrition. Our professional sports instructors provide a dazzling array of daily activities to keep children active and entertained. We have a large, impressive outdoor area directly adjacent to our building where children can play and engage in sports to their heart's content.
BSO Floriande provides 52 weeks of after-school care per year, including school holidays. We pick up children from the following schools in Hoofddorp: Klavertje Vier, Brandaris, Montessori Floriande, Optimist, Optimist International, Braambos, Zwanebloem, Bosrank, and Bosbouwers. For parents from other schools, we are happy to explore the possibilities together.
We work with a user-friendly and modern parent portal, keeping parents informed about their child's development at all times. Our facility is specially designed for children aged 4 to 12 and provides a safe and stimulating environment where the joy of movement is central.Read more

Strengths
- Pedagogical policy is well implemented and visible in practice
- All staff are properly registered in the childcare personnel register and hold a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG)
- Safety and health policy is up to date, formally established, and ensures child safety
- Outdoor play equipment has been inspected by a Designated Inspection Body (AKI) and is inspected annually
- Monthly risk assessment and periodic policy evaluation with the team
- The location manager and childcare professionals provided good cooperation during the inspection
- The owner proactively works on quality assurance, also independent of supervision

- Point of attention: practical arrangements regarding healthy indoor climate (use of air conditioning and windows)
- Point of attention: visibility of children in care versus persons entering the building for the dance school on the second floor
Summary
GGD Kennemerland conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 21 May 2026 at after-school care (BSO) HappyKids Floriande in Hoofddorp.
