Tweede Thuis distinguishes itself through a personal approach. As mothers ourselves, we know how difficult it can be to leave your child with someone else while you go to work. That's why we believe in the flexibility and small-scale nature of childminder care (gastouderopvang). We work with a zero-hours contract, which means you only pay for the care hours you have agreed with your childminder (gastouder). The bond you build as a parent with your childminder is very personal, and we find it important to create a good match between your wishes and a suitable childminder.

Childminder agency (gastouderadviesbureau) Tweede Thuis is active in the north of the Netherlands and mediates in childminder care (gastouderopvang) in the provinces of Drenthe, Groningen and Friesland. The agency has regional contact persons for each province, so you always have a local contact who knows the region well. You can find your contact person by entering the first four digits of your postcode on the website.

Tweede Thuis is a recognised childminder agency (gastouderbureau) and works in accordance with the Childcare Act. All childminders are registered in the National Childcare Register (Landelijk Register Kinderopvang) and hold the required diplomas, certificates and declarations. The agency is affiliated with the Childcare and Preschool Disputes Committee (De Geschillencommissie Kinderopvang en Peuterspeelzalen) and has a complaints procedure for both parents and childminders. Tweede Thuis guides and monitors the quality of the childminder care provided, arranges further training for childminders, and takes care of administration and invoicing.
