They can happily do their own thing, together with other children in a safe, small group. There is plenty of room to do things together with the childminder (gastouder): crafting at the table, reading a book on the couch, or making music together. Just like at home, the household continues as normal, and we involve the children in that.

This annual inspection of 5 May 2026 concerns the childminder/host parent care (gastouderopvang) of Mirjam Jansen-Buddingh at Rembrandtlaan 25 in Nijkerk, mediated by GASTOU B.V. The inspection was conducted unannounced. The childminder cares for a maximum of 6 children (ages 0-4) from Monday through Thursday in her own home. All assessed domains meet the legal requirements: pedagogical climate, requirements for the childminder, accommodation and facilities, and safety and health. The pedagogical practice could not be directly observed as all children were sleeping, but based on the interview the inspector expects a good pedagogical practice. The childminder holds a valid first aid certificate (until April 2027), is correctly registered in the childcare persons register, and uses Dutch as the language of communication. The home is smoke-free and has sufficient play, sleep, and outdoor space. The risk assessment is up to date (drawn up 27 November 2025) and contains no action items. The childminder is familiar with the reporting code for domestic violence and child abuse. In 2024, the childminder received a recovery offer on the domains of accommodation and facilities and safety and health; these violations have since been resolved.
