Gastouderbureau Kabouters offers personal mediation and guidance in finding suitable childminder care (gastouderopvang) for your child. Together with you, we look for a childminder (gastouder) who fits your family, your wishes and your child's character. Our childminders work in small groups of 4-6 children, ensuring plenty of personal attention. You can choose care at the childminder's home or at your own home, and we offer flexibility in days and hours.
Subsidy & costs
Parents are entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) because all our childminders (gastouders) are registered in the National Childcare Register. We can help you calculate and apply for the benefit. This significantly reduces the costs, and we offer support with the administrative processing.
The cost of care is €8.10 per hour per child, including childminder bureau (gastouderbureau) fees. This rate is clear and transparent. You are usually entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag), which means the net costs are considerably lower. We offer support in calculating your benefit.
Trust & screening
Our childminders (gastouders) must meet strict selection criteria: at least an MBO2-level diploma, a child first aid course with the Dutch Red Cross (Oranje Kruis), and a Certificate of Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag/VOG) for themselves and adult household members. The care locations are checked for child safety and must be smoke-free. We carry out risk assessments and the Municipal Health Service (GGD) approves all locations. Childminders (gastouders) receive regular further training through themed evenings.
Gastouderbureau Kabouters is a recognised childminder bureau (gastouderbureau) that meets all legal requirements and is registered in the National Childcare Register (Landelijk Register Kinderopvang, number 280773018). We conduct annual performance reviews with childminders (gastouders), observe the care provision, and carry out risk assessments on safety, fire safety and health.
