At Christelijk Gastouderbureau De Herberg, we help parents find a childminder (gastouder) who suits their family. Childminder care (gastouderopvang) offers small-scale childcare in a homely environment, with personal attention for every child. Our Christian childminders provide a safe and familiar environment where children feel at home. We guide the entire process from intake to placement and remain involved afterwards to ensure the quality of care.
Subsidy & costs
Parents are entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) for childminder care through De Herberg, because all our childminders are registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK). We guide parents in calculating and applying for the benefit through the Tax and Customs Administration. Our agency has the cashier function, which means that financial flows go through us and we report hours to the Tax and Customs Administration for benefit verification. For care at the parents' home, we prepare a customized quote.
The costs of childminder care at De Herberg consist of two components: the childminder fee and the agency costs. Together these determine the gross hourly rate for which childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) can be applied. We offer a calculation tool to determine net costs, available through local branches.
