Subsidy & costs
Parents are entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) because Gastouderland complies with the Childcare Act and all childminders are registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK). The government regards childminder care as a full form of childcare. To qualify for benefit, the childminder must be registered in the LRK with a unique registration number. Gastouderland arranges this registration and guides parents through the benefit application process. The Tax and Customs Administration uses the LRK registration number to verify that all legal requirements have been met.

Only after a successful match do you pay agency fees, with Gastouderland ensuring the most favourable possible calculation tailored to your situation. Trust & screening
Gastouderland applies strict screening for all childminders. Every childminder must hold a government-approved diploma, a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate, and a Certificate of Conduct (VOG). Housemates from 18 years old and regular visitors (anyone who is at the location for at least half an hour at least once every 3 months during childcare hours) must also have a VOG. After registration in the Childcare Personnel Register, continuous screening begins, where ongoing checks are made for any criminal offences that are incompatible with working in childcare. The GGD checks the care location before registration in the National Childcare Register takes place.
Gastouderland complies with the Childcare Act and is inspected annually by the Municipal Health Service (GGD). All childminders are qualified, hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate and a Certificate of Conduct (VOG). Housemates over 18 and regular visitors are also screened via the Childcare Personnel Register. The care locations are checked annually for safety and hygiene through risk assessments.
