Our Thuis-Crèche childminders work in small groups of up to 6 children, so your child receives plenty of personal attention. We offer flexible care hours that fit your work and personal situation, including evenings and weekends. With more than 70 locations in the region, there is always a place available, with no waiting lists. Our consultants guide you in finding the right childminder and support you with the administrative handling.
Subsidy & costs
Welkom Kind supports parents with applying for childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). Our consultants help you with the application process at the Tax Authority. We work with a fixed all-in hourly rate of €8.38 (2025), which simplifies the benefit application and prevents unexpected reclaim demands. Parents with an annual income of approximately €25,000 can already access care from as little as €0.30 per hour with a 130-hour contract. We offer an online calculation tool to calculate your personal costs and benefit.
Welkom Kind uses a fixed all-in hourly rate of €8.38 (2025) including childminder (gastouder) and agency fees. There are no separate recruitment or selection costs. The rate depends on the number of hours used per month. For fewer than 30 hours per month, different rates apply. We offer various contract types: regular care with minimum hours per age group, holiday care and zero-hours contracts for incidental care. Payment is processed through the agency with monthly invoicing.
Trust & screening
Our childminders (gastouders) undergo a careful screening. They must be qualified in childcare, certified in first aid for children (EHBO), and have knowledge of preschool education. In addition, we arrange the VOG application (Certificate of Conduct) and ensure registration in the Childcare Personnel Register (Persoonsregister Kinderopvang). Structurally present persons (at least once every three months for half an hour on location) must also have a VOG and be registered. Childminders commit for a minimum of 3 years and follow ongoing education.
Welkom Kind has been officially registered with the National Childcare Register (Landelijk Register Kinderopvang) since 2005. Since 2016 we have held the GGD GREEN predicate (low-risk profile), which means the GGD inspection has confidence in our quality and safety. We score well on pedagogical policy and practice, safety and health, complaints handling and compliance with regulations. All childminders (gastouders) are screened and must meet legal requirements, including a Certificate of Conduct (VOG-verklaring) and registration in the Childcare Personnel Register (Persoonsregister Kinderopvang).

GGD Hart voor Brabant conducted an annual inspection on 17 November 2025 at childminder agency (gastouderbureau) Welkom Kind M&W Brabant in Tilburg. There was one violation: not all childminders who were no longer being mediated had been disconnected from the Childcare Persons Register in a timely manner.
