Our childminders are carefully selected and periodically assessed for quality and safety. We think along with you about flexible care options and offer support with all practical matters, from registration to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag).
Subsidy & costs
Parents can have the costs for childminder care reimbursed via Childcare Benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) from the Tax and Customs Administration. This benefit applies to both the childminder costs and the bureau costs. The amount of the benefit depends on your income, your partner's income and the number of children going to the childminder. We offer support with the application and can refer you to the Tax and Customs Administration's calculation tool to estimate your benefit.
The costs for childminder care consist of two parts: the childminder's hourly rate (from €8 per hour) and the monthly bureau costs (fixed amount of €49.50 per month plus €0.25 per hour in variable costs with a maximum ceiling). Each childminder determines her own rate, depending on service, type of care location and any additional services. There are no registration fees, administration costs or other hidden costs. For specific situations such as switching or after-school care (BSO), we offer customised solutions.
Trust & screening
Our childminders are carefully screened in accordance with legal requirements. Every childminder must have a suitable MBO/HBO qualification, a valid Child and/or Baby First Aid certificate, and a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). In addition, we carry out annual risk assessments on location, periodic visits, and ensure continuous training and development of our childminders. The screening also includes household members and other persons structurally present.
Gastouderbureau Villa Nana has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 March 2019 and complies with all legal requirements of the Childcare Act. The bureau is inspected annually by GGD Zuid Limburg and met all assessed quality requirements at the most recent inspection in July 2024.
