Childminder care at ViaViela is formal care, which means parents can claim childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) from the Tax and Customs Administration. The agency helps parents calculate their net costs after benefit and offers personalised calculations tailored to your situation. Parents can use a sample calculation to see that net costs can sometimes work out at just €0.50 per child per hour after benefit.
Childminder care through ViaViela consists of two cost components: the childminder's hourly rate (on average €6.25 to €8.95 per child per hour) and the agency fee for mediation and guidance (all-in monthly rate, depending on care hours, number of children and region). ViaViela carries out careful screening and selection of all childminders. New childminders can follow a diploma route and existing childminders keep their knowledge up to date through further training, workshops, themed meetings and online courses. The care location must meet all requirements under the Childcare Act and is assessed several times a year through evaluation meetings and risk assessment. Childminders are supported in translating the pedagogical policy into their own practice.
