Parents pay two parties: an hourly rate to the childminder (on average €6.25 to €8.95 per child per hour) and a monthly agency fee to ViaViela for mediation and guidance. ViaViela operates on an all-in rate with no registration fees; parents only pay from the moment care starts. The amount of the agency fee depends on the number of care hours, number of children, and region. ViaViela prepares a customised cost calculation in advance so that parents have certainty about their monthly expenses.

ViaViela carries out careful screening and selection of all childminders before they are mediated. Childminders must hold all required diplomas and meet the legal conditions for childminder care.
