Subsidy & costs
Parents may be eligible for childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) through the Tax Authority. This benefit can be applied for via the Tax Authority website. After termination of employment, you remain entitled to 3 months of childcare benefit.
Please note: toddler care (peuteropvang) works differently. With toddler care, you are entitled to a municipal reimbursement provided you live in the municipality where you receive the care. As a parent, you only pay your own contribution; the municipality covers the rest. We arrange this for you.
The childcare costs are calculated across the entire year, including recognized public holidays. These days are included in the price and in the planning, even when care is closed on those days. This keeps the monthly amount consistent and predictable every month, without additional settlements.
We do not charge registration fees; these are included in the (hourly) rate. The statutory notice period is one month, effective from the day you have submitted the change in writing. For incidental care: we can only place children with a minimum purchase of half a day per week, which is contractually agreed for a minimum period of two months.
Trust & screening
Every childminder is carefully screened before being allowed to start providing care. The screening consists of two parts: assessment by our placement coordinators and an inspection by the GGD. This screening is not a one-time event, but is repeated annually to continuously guarantee quality and safety.
Childminders must meet all legal requirements and are supported with GGD inspections, administration, and pedagogical policy. This is how we help childminders maintain consistent quality.
We want your child to be cared for safely. That is why every childminder is assessed by our placement coordinators and by the GGD (Municipal Health Service). This happens before starting, and continues to return annually. The childminders are familiar with applicable laws and protocols and know how to act safely in various situations.
Besides physical safety, social-emotional safety is equally important. Attention is given to this as well. Inspection reports of our childminder agency are publicly available via the National Childcare Register (Landelijk Register Kinderopvang).
