We offer flexible childcare options by the hour, either at the childminder's home or at your own home. Subsidy & costs
We support parents with applying for and changing childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). The benefit for 2025 is calculated based on a maximum hourly rate of €8.10. Parents can apply for benefit within 3 months of starting care via the Tax and Customs Administration.

We do not charge registration fees. Parents can have a considerable portion of the costs reimbursed through childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). We would be happy to make a personal calculation to give you insight into your net childcare costs. Payments run through our agency, ensuring clear administration and timely payment to the childminder.
Trust & screening
Our childminders (gastouders) go through a careful screening and registration procedure. All childminders must have a valid VOG (Certificate of Conduct), a current first aid certificate for children and the required qualifications. We check these documents and arrange registration in the National Childcare Register (LRK).
In addition, we carry out annual risk assessments at the childcare locations to ensure safety and health. Childminders are visited at least twice a year by a personal consultant for progress meetings and guidance. New childminders can follow a training programme through us to obtain the officially recognised MBO2 diploma in Helping Care and Welfare.
Gastouderbureau Roodkapje Meerhoven meets all statutory requirements for childminder (gastouder) care. Pedagogical vision
Our pedagogical policy is based on the four basic pedagogical goals of Riksen-Walraven: emotional security, personal competence, social competence, and the transfer of norms and values. We support our childminders in working towards these goals and provide practical tools such as the Biebi Planning Board.
We encourage emotional security by offering clarity, acceptance, intimacy and care. We develop personal competence through individual attention, adventurous play and room for discovery. Social competence is promoted by teaching children to function in a group and develop social skills. The transfer of norms and values happens by teaching children what the norms and values are within different settings.
