Subsidy & costs
Parents can apply for childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) for childminder care (gastouderopvang) at Mikado. In 2026, the government reimburses up to €8.49 per hour, with a maximum of 230 hours per child per month. The amount of the benefit depends on your income and working hours. We prepare a quote with which you can apply for the benefit from the Tax Authorities, and refer you to the official government calculation tools for a trial estimate.
The costs for childminder care (gastouderopvang) at Mikado consist of three components: an hourly fee to the childminder (gastouder) (set by the childminder), any additional fees for meals or transport, and agency fees to Mikado. The agency fees range from €1.00 to €1.65 per hour, depending on the number of childcare days and children.
