Through Gastouderbureau Loky, you qualify for childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) from the Tax Authority. We ensure your childminder is registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK), which is a requirement for receiving benefit. During the matching meeting, you will receive a clear estimate with all the details you need for the application. The costs consist of care fees (to the childminder) and placement fees (to the agency). The recommended rate for 2026 is €7.00 per hour per child for care at the childminder's home. In practice, rates range between €7.00 and €8.50 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and location. For care at the parents' home, the rate is often higher. The Tax Authority applies a maximum of €8.49 per hour for 2026 for which childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) is granted. You pay all costs to the agency, which forwards them to the childminder within 5 days. There are no hidden costs, and no extra charges are made for changes or advice.
Trust & screening
Our screening of childminders is thorough and ongoing. All childminders must submit a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and are rescreened regularly. We carry out annual risk assessments at all childminders to check whether the care location meets all hygiene and safety requirements of the GGD. Additionally, we visit childminders at home annually for evaluation and support. Childminders must complete a first aid course for children and repeat this annually, and are encouraged to deepen their knowledge of pedagogy and safety.
