At Gastouderbureau Het Liefbeestje, we believe the child always comes first. We offer parents personal guidance in finding a childminder (gastouder) who suits their family situation and wishes. Childminder care (gastouderopvang) offers flexibility, small-scale care and a homely atmosphere for your child. Our childminders are qualified and registered, which means you are entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). You will be assigned a dedicated placement coordinator per region who will guide you through all questions about the care. We maintain transparent rates with no hidden costs and offer support with applying for childcare benefit.
Subsidy & costs
We offer extensive support with childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). Parents are eligible for benefit if they and any benefit partner work, are studying, following a reintegration trajectory or taking a civic integration course. The child must use registered childcare such as we offer. We help with the application via the Tax and Customs Administration website (mijntoeslagen.nl) and can make a trial calculation. It is important to report changes in hours or income promptly to avoid repayment. The agency costs may be included in the hourly rate for the benefit calculation (up to a maximum of €8.49 in 2026).
The costs for childminder care (gastouderopvang) consist of two parts: the hourly fee for the childminder (gastouder) and the agency costs. Our agency costs are among the lowest in the region: €49.50 per month for the first child and €69.50 per month for multiple children, plus €0.15 per hour used. We charge NO registration fees and NO recruitment costs. Different rates apply for grandparent care and care by a childminder at the parent's home. After deduction of childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag), parents often pay only a few tens of cents per hour per child. We offer free quotes and support with trial calculations via the Tax and Customs Administration.
Trust & screening
Our screening of childminders (gastouders) is thorough and meets all statutory requirements. Prospective childminders must hold a suitable diploma or be willing to obtain one, obtain a Paediatric First Aid certificate, provide a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and register in the childcare personnel register. Adult household members must also provide a VOG. The care location is assessed for safety and hygiene according to GGD guidelines. After registration, childminders are visited annually by our placement coordinators and inspected by the GGD at least once every 2 years.
Gastouderbureau Het Liefbeestje meets all statutory quality requirements for childcare. Our childminders (gastouders) are registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) and hold the required diplomas, first aid certificate and Certificate of Conduct (VOG). We are inspected by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) at least once every 2 years, and all inspection reports are publicly available. The agency is affiliated with the Childcare Disputes Committee and holds 'dispute-free' certificates for all branches.
