At Gastouderbureau Het Liefbeestje, we believe the child always comes first. We offer small-scale childminder care (gastouderopvang) in a homely atmosphere, where your child receives personal attention and becomes part of the childminder's family. Childminder care is often more flexible than other forms of childcare and can offer tailored solutions for parents with irregular working hours or changing schedules.
We ensure our childminders are qualified and registered, so you are entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). Your parenting preferences can be discussed with the childminder, and the same routine as at home can be maintained. Our childminders are inspected by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) at least once every 2 years and receive continuous guidance and training from our agency.
Subsidy & costs
For childcare through Gastouderbureau Het Liefbeestje, you are entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) from the Tax and Customs Administration. To qualify, you (and any benefit partner) must be working, studying (not distance learning), following a reintegration programme or attending an integration course. Your child must not yet be in secondary education.
The benefit is income-dependent but worthwhile even for higher incomes. You can apply for the benefit via www.mijntoeslagen.nl using your DigiD, the childminder's LRK number and the hourly rate shown on our calculation (including agency costs up to a maximum of €8.49 in 2026). We can make a trial calculation for you and assist with applying for or changing the benefit.
The costs for childminder care (gastouderopvang) consist of two parts: the hourly payment for the childminder and the agency costs. Our agency costs are transparent and among the lowest in the region. We charge €49.50 per month for the first child and €69.50 per month for multiple children placed through Het Liefbeestje. Additionally, we charge €0.15 per hour of care used.
We charge NO registration fees and NO recruitment costs for finding a childminder. You also pay nothing extra for annual statements, additional home visits or drawing up work plans. For grandparent care and care by a childminder at the parent's home, we apply different rates. Childminder care is financially more advantageous than daycare centers (kinderdagverblijven/KDV), with gross hourly rates of €8.49 in 2026 compared to €11.23 for daycare centers.
Trust & screening
Our childminders undergo a careful screening procedure before being registered with us. They must hold a suitable diploma or be willing to obtain one, have a Paediatric First Aid certificate, a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and registration in the childcare personnel register. Adult household members must also hold a VOG.
The care location is assessed for safety and hygiene and must meet the requirements for childcare. Once all documents are in place, the procedure for GGD inspection is initiated through the municipality. This procedure can take up to 10 weeks. After registration, childminders are inspected by the GGD at least once every 2 years and receive annual progress meetings and training from our agency.
We meet all legal quality requirements for childcare and are inspected by the Municipal Health Service (GGD). Our childminders are registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK) and hold a Certificate of Conduct (VOG). They are registered in the Childcare Personnel Register (PRK) and possess the required diploma and first aid certificate.
We are affiliated with the Childcare Disputes Committee and have obtained the 'Dispute-Free' certificate for all our locations. We are inspected annually by the GGD on our working methods and procedures. Our inspection reports are publicly available on our website. We have a pedagogical policy plan and a complaints procedure in accordance with legal requirements.

Pedagogical vision
Our pedagogical vision centres on stimulating children's development as much as possible through play, in a safe environment. We believe in small-scale childcare where each child receives personal attention and feels at home in the domestic atmosphere of the childminder's family.
Each childminder has their own written pedagogical vision, which is available for parents to view. We support our childminders in this by offering various training courses, such as language and interaction skills, baby sign language, and early childhood education (VVE) training. We employ a pedagogical coach who can be called upon for further deepening of pedagogical questions.
