Subsidy & costs
We support you in applying for childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). To be eligible, both parents must be working, studying (not distance learning), following a reintegration programme, or taking a civic integration course. The child must not be attending secondary school. The benefit is income-dependent but worthwhile even for higher incomes. You can apply for the benefit via www.mijntoeslagen.nl using your DigiD, the childminder's LRK number, and the hourly rate (including agency costs up to a maximum of €8.49 in 2026). We can provide a suitable quote for your application.
The costs consist of two parts: the hourly payment for the childminder (gastouder) and the agency fees. Our agency fees are €49.50 per month for the first child and €69.50 per month for multiple children, plus €0.15 per hour used. We charge NO registration fees and NO recruitment fees. There are no additional costs for annual statements, extra home visits, or work plans. Different rates apply for grandparent care and care by a childminder at the parent's home. The agency fees may be included in the childminder's hourly rate (up to a maximum of €8.49 in 2026) for the childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag).
Trust & screening
Our childminders (gastouders) must meet strict requirements: they must hold a suitable diploma or be willing to obtain one, have a Paediatric First Aid certificate, a Certificate of Conduct (VOG), and be registered in the childcare personnel register. Adult household members must also hold a VOG. The childcare location is assessed for safety and hygiene and must meet GGD requirements. After registration, a GGD inspection follows through the municipality, a procedure that can take up to 10 weeks.
We have been working with the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration since 2008 and are a reliable and transparent organisation. Our childminders (gastouders) are inspected by the municipal health service (GGD) at least once every 2 years and hold the required diplomas, first aid certificate, and Certificate of Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag). We are registered with the Chamber of Commerce and have LRK numbers for various locations. We are inspected annually by the GGD on our working methods and procedures. We hold certificates from the Disputes Committee for all our locations.
