Subsidy & costs
As a parent, you are entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) for childminder care. Our bureau's mediation costs are included in this and (partly) reimbursed by the Tax Authority. We charge fixed mediation fees of €45 per month for the first child and €25 for each additional child, with a maximum of €95 per family per month. For families with consistently few care hours (<20 hours per month), we charge an hourly rate of €1.25 per child to keep costs balanced.
The costs for childminder care consist of two parts: the payment for the childminder (€5.25 - €6.50 per child per hour, depending on days and times) and the mediation fees for the bureau. Our mediation fees are €45 per month for the first child, €25 for each additional child, with a maximum of €95 per family per month. We do not charge registration fees, penalty clauses or extra costs for temporary replacement during illness or holiday. Weekend, evening and night care often have higher rates.

We screen childminders carefully based on our pedagogical vision and government regulations. During the registration process, we ask childminders about their availability, care philosophy and assess whether our pedagogical policy plan aligns with their approach. All childminders must meet government requirements and are registered in the National Childcare Register (LRKP). As a registered childminder bureau, we supervise childminder care to ensure quality, safety and hygiene. We carry out quality checks at care locations, keep childminders' knowledge up to date through courses, and verify that the maximum number of children is not exceeded. Childminders who fail to comply with government regulations can lose their LRKP registration, meaning parents would no longer be entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag).
