Gastouderbureau Boelie offers personal mediation and guidance for childminder (gastouder) care. You will be assigned a dedicated contact person who knows your situation and will support you throughout your time with Boelie. We help you find a suitable childminder, handle the financial administration, and offer support with any pedagogical challenges. With our online hour registration system, you always have insight into your childcare costs, and we provide an annual overview for the Tax Authority.
Subsidy & costs
When you use a childminder (gastouder) through Boelie, you are entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). We help you apply for this benefit through the Tax Authority. You will receive instructions on how to apply for childcare benefit when the match is made. It is important to do this on time, as it takes several weeks for the Tax Authority to pay out the benefit. When applying, you may also include our agency costs with the Tax Authority (€0.28 per hour on top of your childminder's hourly rate).
The costs for childminder (gastouder) care consist of two parts: the care fee (paid to the childminder) and the mediation fee (paid to the agency). Both may be declared to the Tax Authority. The mediation fee is a fixed monthly amount per family: €42.50 for care at the childminder's home, or €135.00 for care at your own home. There is a one-time administration fee of €25.00. Using two childminders at the same time? That costs only €15.00 extra per month, per family.
Trust & screening
Gastouderbureau Boelie carefully screens childminders according to the requirements of the Childcare Act. Childminders must meet basic conditions such as a valid first aid certificate for children, a Certificate of Conduct (VOG), a recognised diploma, and proof of identity. We verify these documents and ensure registration in the National Childcare Register (Landelijk Register Kinderopvang) where necessary. In addition, childminders work according to our pedagogical policy plan and safety and health policy.
Gastouderbureau Boelie operates in accordance with the Childcare Act and has a pedagogical policy plan. Our childminders must meet quality requirements including safety and hygiene. We check the validity of childminder documents (first aid certificate for children, VOG, diploma, proof of identity) and carry out at least two visits per year to the care location. In addition, we conduct the annual Risk Assessment for Safety and Health and are registered in the National Childcare Register (Landelijk Register Kinderopvang).
