Subsidy & costs
Parents who work, study or are undergoing reintegration are entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). The benefit is income-dependent and can amount to 93% for the first child and 94% for two or more children. Both our agency and all affiliated childminders are registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK), which is required for benefit applications.
Gastouderbureau Assen/Drenthe applies a recommended rate of €7.54 per hour including mediation costs. The mediation costs are €1.15 per hour with a minimum of €42.00 per month per family. The maximum monthly mediation costs are €85.00 for one child and €136.00 for multiple children. The agency does not charge registration or search fees. Childminders are free to set their own hourly rate for parents.
Trust & screening
Our childminders must meet strict selection criteria and are carefully screened. They must enjoy working with children, offer a safe and loving living environment, pay attention to personal development, and ensure a safe, hygienic and healthy childcare environment. Childminders must also comply with statutory requirements for numbers of children and have a good emergency backup arrangement. All childminders are registered in the National Childcare Register (LRK).
