Welcome to KVD Prins Maurits, located at Hooibeestje 2 in the heart of Tiel. We are part of the Integral Child Centre Prins Maurits, where daycare, preschool, primary school and after-school care blend seamlessly together. Our location welcomes up to 16 children aged 2 to 4. The children play in a bright, welcoming space that opens directly onto a large green outdoor area. Here they can explore, move and experience nature to their heart’s content. We follow a clear daily rhythm so every child feels safe and secure, enabling optimal development. Thanks to the unique collaboration within the child centre, your child’s development follows one continuous line from 0 to 12 years; the transition from our daycare to the primary school is smooth and familiar. Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Prins Maurits in Tiel, part of RivaKids, was inspected by Municipal Health Service (GGD) Gelderland-Zuid on 11 February 2026. The daycare for children aged 0–4 meets all examined quality requirements. The pedagogical practice is good: staff provide emotional security, stimulate development, and apply clear rules. Staff hold the correct diplomas, Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG), and are properly registered in the persons register. Several safety and health risks were identified for which appropriate temporary measures have been taken: lack of handwashing facilities at temporary changing tables (resolved with gloves and extra hygiene), muddy outdoor play area (children play at the toddler daycare area in bad weather), bedroom also used as storage space (storage will be relocated), and ventilation in bedroom (CO2 meter and regular airing). The outdoor space will be reassessed next year. No enforcement is necessary.
