About this care
Welcome to Ewa’s Childcare III at Van Ruysbroekstraat 32 in The Hague. We provide daycare (KDV) for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our location comprises four groups: the Dolphins, Butterflies and Parrots, each for up to 12 children aged 0-4, and the Tigers for 2-12 years. We occupy the entire ground floor of an apartment building and have our own fenced playground. We also use a nearby primary school with a library for excursions. Our permanent pedagogical staff create a familiar environment for your child. We work with monthly themes connected to the world of young children’s perception and regularly organise outings such as visits to the toy museum or petting zoo. Strengths
- The pedagogical policy is well implemented in practice; group rooms are adequately furnished with appropriate materials and activities
- Early childhood education is structured using the 'Pedagogisch Verrijken met Kiki' program, including daily planning and differentiation by developmental level
- Parental involvement is well organized through theme activities, development conversations, and digital parent updates
- All childcare professionals hold appropriate qualifications and meet the IKK language proficiency requirement
- Safety and health policy, including protocols for missing children and safe sleeping, is adequate and followed
- The accommodation more than meets requirements: sufficient indoor and outdoor space, and separate sleeping areas for babies

- Early childhood education: The ratio between ECE-qualified staff and present children was inadequate; there was no fully qualified ECE professional present alongside a staff member still completing ECE training
- Qualification requirements: The pedagogical coach/policy staff member did not hold the required additional training from the list of FCB Sector-Recognized Training for Coaching (enrolled in new training starting 9 September 2026)
- Deployment of pedagogical policy staff: The calculation of the minimum number of coaching hours did not comply with the applicable calculation rules (resolved on 10 August 2026)
Summary
The Municipal Health Service (GGD) annual inspection of 2 July 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Ewa's Childcare III B.V. in Den Haag shows a mixed picture.
