About this care
Welcome to Elorah Katwijk Groen van Prinstererschool, our after-school care location at Piet Heinlaan 3 in Katwijk. We provide Christian Reformed after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 who have already left primary school. Our team welcomes up to 22 children each afternoon in a homely and safe environment that aligns with the identity of the Groen van Prinstererschool.
After school, our pedagogical staff member picks up the children in the school building. We start the afternoon with a shared moment: a chat, a short Bible story or song, and then the children choose what they want to do. There is space to relax with a book, be creative, play outside in the school garden or join a workshop. The activities vary each week; one moment focuses on sports and movement, another on crafts, cooking or a nature project.
Our approach is aimed at making every child feel safe and seen. We encourage independence, respect for others and enjoyment in learning. Parents receive a short update via the Parro app about how the afternoon went. During school holidays and study days we remain open, so parents can bring their child to us with peace of mind.

Summary
The annual inspection by Municipal Health Service (GGD) Hollands Midden of after-school care (BSO) Elorah Katwijk, located at primary school Groen van Prinstererschool in Katwijk, took place on 9 April 2026. The after-school care accommodates a maximum of 22 children aged 4 to 13 years on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Overall, the location meets the statutory quality requirements. One violation was identified in the area of safety and health: the holder failed to ensure that an adult with a valid first aid certificate was always present. The staff member had been partially working alone since March 2026, while her certificate was valid until 27 March 2026. Following a recovery offer, this situation has been resolved: the employee successfully completed a refresher course on 8 May 2026 and is only deployed alone again after this date. An improved monitoring system for expired certificates has also been implemented. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality of Katwijk not to take enforcement measures.
