About this care
Eigenwijze Childcare at Engelerpark 2 in Engelen (’s-Hertogenbosch) is part of the Antonius Abt Jenaplan Child Centres. We provide daycare for children aged 0–4 in a homely, secure setting that aligns with the Jenaplan education offered by our partner school. Our team works closely with the Group 1–2 teachers, ensuring a smooth transition from childcare to primary school.
Children are given every opportunity to explore, play and grow. A fixed daily rhythm with familiar staff gives each child a sense of security. Outdoors we share a spacious, green playground with the kindergarten groups; while playing, toddlers learn to interact with older children and gain confidence in a larger group.
The centre is open 51 weeks a year, Monday–Friday 07:30–18:30. We are closed on national holidays and between Christmas and New Year’s Day. We offer regular day-care places only; flexible or incidental care is not available.

GGD Hart voor Brabant conducted an unannounced annual inspection at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Eigenwijze Kinderopvang location Park in 's-Hertogenbosch on 18 February 2026. The location provides care for a maximum of 16 children aged 0 to 4 years in one fixed group. On two of the three components, the location directly meets all quality requirements: pedagogical climate and staff and groups. The staff act in accordance with the pedagogical policy, provide emotional safety and stimulate children's development. Regarding the parental rights component, the complaints procedure was insufficiently described in concrete terms, for which a recovery offer was issued. The operator responded with an amended complaints procedure and now meets this requirement. No enforcement action is advised.
