Kinderopvang Duimelot Zenderen has been offering daycare for children aged 0 to 4 years since 1994. At Duimelot, we have 5 horizontal daycare groups (baby-young toddler-toddler-preschooler-older preschooler) with materials and activities tailored to your child's age. We give children plenty of opportunities for independent physical and play development on their own initiative. The pedagogical professionals have been working at Duimelot for many years, which brings a great deal of stability and familiar faces for both the child and the parent. Sick child policy
Childcare is not designed for the care of sick children. When deciding whether a child with symptoms of illness may come to daycare or should stay home, two aspects are decisive: 1. the wellbeing of the sick child themselves and 2. the health of the other children in the group. We ask parents not to administer fever-reducing medication unless advised by a doctor. Within the daycare center, we exclude children with Impetigo, a cold sore and severe diarrhea due to the risk of infection for the other children.

This inspection report concerns an unannounced incidental investigation at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Duimelot in Borne, conducted by Municipal Health Service (GGD) Twente. The inspection took place following an application for registration as an early childhood education (VE) location. The location provides care for 56 children aged 0-4 years in 4 core groups. The provider meets all assessed conditions. The early childhood education policy has been found to be sufficiently concrete and verifiable following supplementary additions. No violations were identified and no areas for improvement were recorded. The advice to the municipality is to take no enforcement action.
